Veolia NA released its operator courses for free

July 13, 2023
Veolia North America launches Veolia Academy, an online, self-paced operator education platform for water and wastewater operators seeking to earn their licenses.

Workforce is one of the top three stressors among all water and wastewater utilities in the United States. It all starts with finding qualified candidates, a barrier to entry that holds many back from achieving operator status.

To address that, Veolia North America released the Veolia Academy, an online self-paced education platform with decades of resources and educational materials for training operators. Karine Rougé, CEO of municipal water for Veolia North America, explains how the resources came to be, why the company made them free, and what it means for the future of the industry.
